Our Development Process

Grey Media takes great care to design and develop hand-crafted, custom web sites that accurately reflects the goals and desires of clients:

No secrets: Our sites are designed to client specifications. At all times, your staff will be responsible for overall content, direction, and management of the site. It is your site, not ours. You will approve the design, content, and functionality during the development process and before it goes live.

Interaction: We will interface with your staff and others as necessary for successful completion of the site.

Internet standards: Our sites adhere to HTML 4.0 and Cascading Style Sheets, level 2 standards, as well as common Internet conventions.

Compatibility: The web site will be built to work with late-model computers running newer versions of Apple Mac OS, Microsoft Windows, and Unix operating systems. It will be compatible with most recent web browsers, especially Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, and Safari.

Design standards: Graphics, photographic images, color and text will display as intended, given certain limitations inherent to the Internet and World Wide Web.

Search engines: We design sites to be search engine friendly. For example, we include META tags within the page code to aid in indexing of the site by those search engines that use them.

Composition: Grey Media will plan, outline and storyboard the site in conjunction with your staff. We build composite web pages that include all requisite code, scripting, text, and images. We guarantee live pages will be free of content mistakes such as typos and spelling errors.

File backup: All files created for the project will be backed up and provided to you on a CD-ROM as an archive and as a point in time when the site goes live.
